Ransomware Removal

Do you recognise this warning message?

Fake Reveton PCEU locked computer page

If this is how your computer greets you in the morning, then keep reading.

Your PC is infected with ransomware and needs professional help.

What is “ransomware”? I never heard of it before.

You probably know that there is something called a “police virus”, a “Ukash virus” or “Paysafecard virus”.

Now you are seeing it with your own eyes, on your own PC.

It says I am guilty of doing X and will go to prison. I am not a criminal!

We know that already! The list of your imaginary “evil deeds” is actually the same for everyone infected.

This is nothing more than a scare tactic discouraging you from seeking help.

If I fail to pay the fine, will the police come banging on my door?

No. Your problems are caused by a virus and a cyber criminal who is locking down your PC while trying to extort some money.

What is Ukash / Paysafecard and why I have to pay them money?

Ukash and Paysafecard are payment processing companies legally operating in the UK.

Think of them as the local version of PayPal – anyone can walk in and send or receive some cash.

Will it go away if I pay the money?

No. We have seen plenty of ransomware infections that will take your money and…do nothing.

Customer satisfaction is not something cyber criminals really care about.

I am the lucky one: paid the ransom, got the code. My computer is clean once again!

Sorry to break the bad news to you, but it is just as infected now as it was before you paid the ransom.

Ransomware is rarely seen alone. Usually it is bundled with a different type of virus stealing your password or bank account data.

Can you remove it from my computer?

Yes, we can. We will completely remove any ransomware as a part of our complete, fixed price service.

If you are living in the Stoke-on-Trent area or Central Staffordshire, you will not be charged a callout fee.
